This policy covers the Crosslane app and this site, crosslane.weloin.com, both run by Weloin Global Private Limited (“we”).
What the app sends
The contents of your phone never leave your Mac. To run the trial, the licence and update checks, the app talks to this site and sends only:
- a one-way hash of your Mac’s hardware identifier, which tells Macs apart without revealing the identifier itself;
- your Mac’s name, when you open the activate page, so the invoice can say which Mac was activated;
- a request for the latest version, about once a day, which carries nothing about you.
When you pay
The activate page collects your billing details (name, email, address, and GSTIN if you give one) so we can issue a tax invoice and keep the records the law requires. Razorpay handles the payment itself; we never see your card or bank details. Razorpay’s checkout follows Razorpay’s privacy policy.
When you write to us
The contact form sends your name, email address, topic and message, which we keep to answer you and to keep a record of support. To stop spam, we also keep a salted hash of your IP address, used only to limit how many messages one visitor can send.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. Its fonts and images are served from the site itself.
Where it’s kept
Data is stored with Cloudflare, which hosts this site and may process it outside India, and emails go out through our mail provider. We keep invoices and orders for as long as Indian tax and company law requires, licence and trial records for as long as Crosslane is sold so that your licence keeps working, and messages for as long as they’re useful for support.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, through the contact page. We delete anything the law doesn’t require us to keep; a licence record can only be removed together with the licence.
